Week 20 In Israel:
This week was one of the most powerful, inspiring, and perspective-shifting weeks yet, highlighted by an unforgettable guest speaker experience! 

Learning from a guest speaker who has been completely blind since birth was one of the most inspiring and life-changing experiences 🙏🕊️. He has no perception of vision at all, yet the way he understands the world feels deeper, richer, and more intentional. As a Torah-observant Jew with a profound spiritual grounding 📖✡️, he shared not only how he lives... but how he chooses to live!

Watching him navigate technology was nothing short of incredible 💻⌨️. From using a computer and typing, to reading sacred texts through touch with dotted lettering, and even playing games 🎮. It was a powerful reminder of human adaptability, creativity, and resilience 💪🧠. But what impacted me most wasn’t what he could do... it was who he is!!!

His attitude toward life was radiant 🌟. Despite what most would label a major disability, he is genuinely happy, positive, and deeply alive 🔥. He spoke with gratitude, joy, and purpose, and it was impossible not to feel lifted just by listening to him. He doesn’t see blindness as something that diminished his life, but as part of the unique way he experiences meaning, connection, and faith ❤️🙏.

Hearing him speak challenged my assumptions about limitations, happiness, and what it means to truly live. It was a powerful reminder that fulfillment doesn’t come from perfect circumstances... but from perspective, attitude, and spirit! I walked away changed: more grateful, more grounded, and more inspired to approach life with the same courage, positivity, and appreciation he embodies every day.

✨📜🌟 Learning incredible stories about the Prophets
🚀⚔️🎬 Showing my roommate Star Wars for the first time ever (a truly wild, fun experience for all of us who grew up on it)
🐱❤️🏥 Our cat Georgey successfully having surgery
🌯🥙🇮🇱 Eating amazing, fresh Israeli street food
👣🕍🖤 Walking through Meah She’arim, experiencing ultra-Orthodox life and culture up close — a powerful and eye-opening journey through a completely different way of living
